The money was used to fund extra programs at Geyserville schools which gave teachers the resources they need to address various learning levels of our children. A big THANK YOU goes to all the families who are signed up with eScrip. To maximize contributions to our school, we would like to encourage parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors to register their credit, debit and Safeway club cards with eScrip. What is eScrip and how does it work?

eScrip is a fantastic resource for fundraising where participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to the school, group or organization of your choice.

Here’s how it works:

  • You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program.
  • Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen group, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered.
  • Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child’s behalf! Why register my Safeway Club Card?

Safeway is our single largest eScrip donor. During 2009, Safeway donations exceeded $2000. We need all families to register their cards to maximize our eScrip fundraising potential. Register your club card and then every time you shop at Safeway, Geyserville receives a donation. IT’S THAT EASY!

How do I register my Safeway Club Card?

Registration is available online. Click here to register your Safeway Club Card. Enter Group Name or ID (below). Enter your name, address, phone, email address and Safeway Club Card Number. That’s it. With, it’s easy and secure, and once you’ve signed up, a percentage of EVERY purchase is donated to Geyserville schools. It’s simple! If you don’t shop at Safeway, you can register your credit, debit, and/or ATM cards.

What if I can’t find my Safeway Club Card?

Please call 1-877-723-3929. Press 1 (for English), press 0, press 2, and then enter your telephone number with area code. A customer service representative will answer. Ask the representative for your card number. After verification of your phone number, the representative will give you your Club Card number. It only takes a minute!

How do I check or update my eScrip information?

Does eScrip affect my Club Card Savings?

No, participating in eScrip will NOT affect your Club Card savings.

Do I have to show my Club Card when I buy groceries?

Key in your phone number at the register or scan in your Club Card. The bottom of the receipt will indicate that eScrip was notified of the purchase.

Does it matter how I pay for my groceries?

No, use the payment option most convenient for you.

What if I do not shop at Safeway?

If you do not shop at Safeway, there are hundreds of merchants who donate money through eScrip. Some of these eScrip merchants are Whole Foods, Macy’s, Big 5, Big O Tires, Draeger’s Market, Office Max, Vons, and Baja Fresh. You can register your credit/debit/ATM cards with eScrip by clicking on REGISTER CREDIT CARDS AND DEBIT/ATM CARDS NOW. It’s easy, costs you nothing and is safe to register your credit cards.

What cards does the eScrip program accept for registration?

Grocery loyalty cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and debit/ATM cards.

If I decide to register my credit and debit/ATM cards, is my information secure with eScrip?

Here’s how eScrip responds to this concern:”eScrip has contracted with a national processor who provides state-of-the-art technology for administration of the eScrip program. ESI’s process involves flagging these card numbers for program use. The participating retailers provide the processor with the purchase information so a donation amount can be applied. ESI’s systems have met the strict requirements of the participating merchants in the area of security, safety and confidentiality. For additional information read our privacy policy.”

What about privacy and security of my personal information? 

ESI places a tremendous value on the relationships it has with eScrip program participants across the country. Safeguarding personal information is one of our highest commitments. ESI will not license, sell, exchange or distribute any specific information about its eScrip participants to any third parties who are not directly involved in the eScrip program. By participating in the eScrip program, you are authorizing ESI to use information relating to your registered card transactions for the limited purposes of processing rebates to your designated organization and providing cumulative reports to your organization. No purchase details are given to ESI for the eScrip program.

If I register my credit cards and debit/ATM cards, how do I update my information?

Go to, click on “my eScrip” and enter your personal ID# and password to review your account. You will need your eScrip password to manage your account. If you don’t have that information you can email eScrip for help at:

What about airline miles and other rewards associated with credit/debit cards?

You will continue to earn airline miles, special bonuses, and other rewards associated with these cards. The eScrip donation you earn has nothing to do with the other benefits that you currently receive. This is the beauty of registering all the cards you frequently use.

Can I support more than one organization with my eScrip registration?

Yes, the donation can be split up to three ways. You can easily select up to 3 groups during your initial online registration.
